UMB Surge Arrester The surge arrester serves to protect the LUFFT UMB sensors and is installed between the ISOCON-UMB and the UMB sensor. A surge arrester is required for each UMB sensor.

Protected side The ISOCON-UMB is connected to the “protected side”. The connectors on the surge arrester are assigned in exactly the same way as on the ISOCON-UMB.

Unprotected side The UMB sensors are connected on the “unprotected” side. The connectors on the surge arrester are assigned in exactly the same way as on the ISOCON-UMB.
