The polymeter is a hygrometer thermometer for measuring and calculation of air temperature, absolute and relative humidity of air, saturation vapor pressure, vapor pressure, dew point and saturation deficit.

For outdoor measurements and in high humidity hair hygrometer are preferable. The specially treated synthetic fibre of the Fischer polymeter 12801 are insensitive to temperature (temperature range 0° to +70°C, 32° to 158° F) and respond quickly to changes in humidity.
