The polymeter is a hygrometer thermometer for measuring and calculation of air temperature, absolute and relative humidity of air, saturation vapor pressure, vapor pressure, dew point and saturation deficit.

For outdoor measurements and in high humidity, a hair hygrometer is preferable. The specially treated human hair of the Fischer polymeter 11801 is insensitive to temperature (temperature range -35° to +65°C, -31° to 149F) and responds quickly to changes in humidity.
